Edmund Gwenn, who played Santa Claus in the 1947 film “Miracle on 34th Street”, is the only actor to win an Oscar Award for playing Santa Claus. He was awarded the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at the 20th Academy Awards Ceremony in 1948.
